This is an active, hands-on outdoor management role that combines guest service, team leadership, equipment handling, safety oversight, staff management, and practical problem solving. The Tour Manager is responsible for helping ensure that each tour runs safely, smoothly, on time, and in accordance with company procedures.
The Tour Manager will supervise Tour Guides / Operations Assistants, assist with guest check-in and tour preparation, oversee the staging and movement of rail bikes, monitor safety procedures, respond to guest and operational issues, and help maintain a safe, professional, and welcoming environment for both guests and staff.
This position requires working outdoors in a variety of conditions, including heat, rain, cold weather, wind, and darkness. Reliability, punctuality, leadership, good judgement, and the ability to stay calm under pressure are essential qualities for any potential candidate.
